The repercussions of COVID-19 all over the US have been devastating. This is not only the medical toll, but lots of people without a job, therefore not being able to afford to have a meal regularly on the table.
We want to help doing one of the things we do best: cooking. These are the actions we are taking to help people in need of food during the coronavirus pandemic.
Rotisserie Chicken, Macaroni with White Cheddar Cheese and Broccoli, Bread, and Chocolate Chip Cookies!
May 7 we made Dave’s amazing Old Settlers Baked Beans, Glazed Ham, Cornbread, and Lemon Cake for dessert!
By joining the Project PLASE we are commited to relieve the devastating effects that COVID-19 is having in our community. Above all, we like to cook. Therefore, this is our contribution to one of the altruistic projects of the Friends of Sparsh organization.
The Dads deliver the meals they cook to the Friends of Sparsh, a local association with a food bank in Maryland, through a project called PLASE. This action helps people in need of food due to unemployment or simply because they have been affected by COVID-19 in one way or the other.
Harris and Dave have started this wonderful new project to help people in their community in need of relief during these difficult times of the coronavirus pandemic. One of the things they do best is cooking, so they are cooking every week and delivering meals that will help 25+ people to have something to eat at home.
Stay tuned to know their future actions.
